]]> Well, I've been with Shutterchance just about a year - which is the time I promised myself I would stay and see how things turned out. I've decided that this will be my final posting before moving on (and I thought it fitting to show a shot from where I live). The reason for my leaving is no reflection on the site in anyway - it's a great site with many talented photographers aboard and I've enjoyed 'talking' to many of you over the last year. However, it's time to try something different and find a new direction. Thanks to all those who critiqued my pics and for the many ideas I have picked up looking at all your fine images. I wish you all well in your future picture taking and to the future advancement of Shutterchance - good luck and thanks for letting me tag along for some of the ride......... ]]> Difficult to get a sense of scale here but the tree is about 4 metres in diameter and must be 500 - 600 years old at least. Each of the fallen limbs is about 40 - 50 metres long. The church in the background is St. Mary's and belongs to the estate under National Trust ownership.
