Slow death of a tree, Fountains Abbey
Difficult to get a sense of scale  here but the tree is about 4 metres in diameter and must be 500 - 600 years old at least. Each of the fallen limbs is about  40 - 50 metres long. The church in the background is St. Mary's and belongs to the estate under National Trust ownership.
