Excellent shot, David. You should enter this in the Theme 12 challenge!
Pilgrim: Thanks Kay. I haven't investigated the themed challenges - I'm not really a competetive sort, but I will have a look, thanks for the suggestion. David.

Interesting shot - simple but I like the two different textures of the water. Well captured.
Pilgrim: Thanks John. This was just one of those fortunate finds while I was walking in the Lake District last week. David.

Yes, David--this is a good one for the ROCK challenge, so make sure you enter it (or maybe you already did!).

And now I see what you mean about your "steps" pic from the other day! I like the variation on the theme. smile
Pilgrim: Thanks Ginnie. I'll look into the rock challenge and have a think about it. Yes, similar words but totally different images. David.
I love the use of light in this pic. Great work
Pilgrim: Thanks for visiting, pleased you like it. David
This picture reminds me of the stepping stones at Dovedale Derbyshire. Love the picture.
Pilgrim: Thanks Tracy. You are right it does look like the stepping stones in Dovedale - I've walked over them quite a few times but never taken a pic. Thes stones are at Millers Bridge in the Lake District. David.
Excellent shot amd a wise choice for B&W.
Pilgrim: Thanks Bernie. It was originally colour but I prefered the conversion too. David.
That looks Japanese. Is it? These stepping stones tend to work best in b/w like this shot.
Pilgrim: I'm afraid this is just the English Lake District - or a small river there just outside the town of Ambleside. The colour version was just too colourful and looked a bit like a post card, hence the conversion. David.

Nice post processing. looks good.
Pilgrim: Thanks Les. It was just a slight crop, conversion and a tweak on hue and saturation. I'm not into too much fiddling. David.

Might not be 39, but it is a great shot all the same, like the contrast both in tone and between the fast water on one side, and the still on the other. Mike
Pilgrim: Thanks Mike. Isolating the stepping stones has made this about the most abstract image I've ever taken. David.
